In the Purchasing Department, our job consists in creating value for the Michelin Group while at the same time reducing the risks associated with procurement and market fluctuations. We handle purchases of raw materials, services, plant and industrial supplies, including strategy, negotiation and contracts.

After holding 2 positions as Buyer and one role as Category Manager in Industrial Purchases, in 2012 I took the role of Category Manager for chemicals in the area of Raw Materials
Throughout these 14 years, not only I have discovered and learned new purchasing areas but also other very interesting activities such as marketing, engineering, R&D and industry.
Contributing to strengthen the Group's competitiveness, capturing innovation in the market, ensuring that our raw materials are compliant with our specifications and building true and long terms partnerships with our suppliers based on mutual trust are some of the things I find in my job that make it exciting and rewarding.
Another enriching aspect of my job is leading and supporting the teams located in different geographical zones where the Michelin Group operates. As Category Manager, I have a close working relationship with all members of my network to enable each of them to succeed in their mission and make progress.

My career path with Michelin :

  • Buyer
    Responsible for purchasing processes by domains of activity. Purchases products or services.
  • Senior buyer
    Responsible for sourcing and buying operations within a particular perimeter. Contributes to the definition of the sourcing strategy with the Category Manager
  • Purchasing Manager
    Plans, directs, and monitors all purchasing activities to ensure that the goods, materials, supplies, and services purchased meet standards in terms of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
  • Category Manager
    Responsible for defining sourcing strategy and leading and coordinating the worldwide network.
