Base salary based on experience, starting annual salary for this $63 840 plus bonus
Your team:
This role is part of the global procurement team and is linked to Michelin's off-road business unit. Working within this team provides a global overview of the company's activities. The team is made up of procurement professionals working on both commercial and technical aspects. Responsible for acquiring tracks and track systems for eight plants, team members collaborate with suppliers from around the world, allowing them to discover new cultures and acquire new skills.
Your role:
As part of the Supply Chain Manager's team, the successful candidate will be responsible for transforming internal needs into concrete solutions, seeking out the best opportunities on the market, and working with suppliers to ensure quality and on-time delivery. You will participate in negotiations, calls for tenders, and initiatives aimed at optimizing costs, while working with diverse teams in a dynamic and stimulating environment.
We need you for:
Place orders with suppliers to fulfill purchase requests from internal customers. (50%)
Analyze internal needs and the market to identify the best opportunities. (15%)
Issue calls for tenders and negotiates with suppliers. (15%)
Facilitate the implementation of the “Purchase to Pay” process. (10%)
Participate in projects aimed at reducing costs and procurement risks. (10%)
Contribute to the selection of partners and the optimization of purchasing strategies.
Monitor supplier performance, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a stimulating environment while contributing to the reliability and performance of the supply chain.
What do you need to possess for being successful?
You have a degree in administration, operations management, procurement, or a related field.
You have at least 1-3 years of experience in procurement.
You have experience in teamwork and networking.
Technical knowledge of one or more technologies/processes specific to commodities (rubber, metal, plastic, chemicals, etc.) is an asset.
You are comfortable in a bilingual environment (French and English) and can communicate orally and in writing with your colleagues and our international partners.
You are detail-oriented, thorough, and have a problem-solving mindset.
You enjoy travelling abroad (approximately 10% of the time).
