Mission

Strengthen relationships with customers by aligning with the Global or Key Account Manager, Strategic Orientations, and the Business Model. Focus on OEM R&D and understand their engineering policies. Contribute to sales targets and maximize value from our product/service offerings. Ensure timely homologation for projects portfolios.

Key expected achievements

Build strong customer relationships in line with strategic orientations and business models

  • Maintain network inside OEM technical departments and beyond (Program Management, Product Planning, decision makers within the OEM)
  • Understand OEM technical philosophy and OEM needs to pursue the OEM business model, translates & communicates to AOE and R&D teams
  • Collaborate within the CBT with Global Account Manager – Technical team, Key Account Manager – Technical team of other zones, and OE Leader
  • Propose appropriate AOE actions to bring & sell value to the OEMs
  • Promote Michelin's offerings within the technical community
  • Work closely with IDD to target and manage the innovation deployments
  • Capture and communicate customer requirements internally
  • Manage Customer visits, training and Tech days

Coordinate global development activities for OEMs

  • Influence the OEM tire specifications to maximize the success of our offer
  • Identify opportunities to demonstrate technical leadership
  • Promote key tire performances for upcoming platforms

Value creation through winning RFQs and identifying business opportunities

  • Support business acquisition workflows for RFQs and ensures that technical aspects are considered during Scenario Construction
  • Technical analysis of OEM tire specification for RFQs
  • Understand competitor positioning to target high-value opportunities
  • Ensure comprehension of OEM expectations by DORD
  • Coordinate the global construction of appropriate Feasibility Studies for the RFQs
  • Support macro feasibility process
  • Conduct Win/Loss Analyses at the end of the Business Acquisition process
  • Identify opportunities to sell tires with low or no RDI investment based on received OEM demand
  • Explore opportunities to sell connected and service offers

Ensure timely homologation (HT) and start of serial production (LIVM) for OEMs

  • Manage Tire Developments portfolios and ensure corrective actions
  • Escalate Tire Developments at risk through Program Management meetings
  • Actively searches for development process with OEM
  • Initiate and promote simulation activities

Leading Pre-Sales activities for the platforms in the portfolio

  • Initiate Pre-Sales for key vehicles and leads the process
  • Actively sell Michelin solutions for future platforms (Avance de phase, Co-Development, demonstrator)
  • Address technical challenges and performance gaps for future platforms

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in the automotive industry with a technical background
  • Awareness of Project Management
  • Ability to communicate in an international environment, including direct contact with key clients
  • Native Korean speaker with fluency in English
