Cuneo

The construction work began in 1961, Cuneo is still an area with an agricultural vocation. On June 5, 1963, the first compound comes out of Z, and on September 30, the first tire comes out of the O Service. The first inner tubes also come out of the Y lines in the same year.

Michelin Cuneo saw continuous growth, eventually having more than 5,000 employees in the early eighties; he transformed the city and the valleys into a modern industrial society, without distorting the geographical and social characteristics of the territory.

More than 12,000 people have worked at Michelin in Cuneo and the associated industries have been created enormous. Over time, Michelin Cuneo has also seen the manufacture of truck and metro tires and the retreading of Avio tyres.

There have also been difficult moments: the fire in 1999 destroyed part of the semi-finished plants. We have successfully experienced the reconstruction and the new life of the Site, today about 2,500 people work at the Cuneo plant who produce semi-finished textile and metal products, inner tubes and touring tyres ; We also have a Logistics activity on the Site.
