THE OPPORTUNITY

Michelin North America, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to support our in-house attorneys with a focus on business law and commercial matters. In this role, you will provide valuable legal advice and guidance to internal business clients, helping to proactively assess and implement strategies that reduce legal risks.

As a key member of our Law Department, you will gain insights into our business operations and objectives. Your legal expertise will directly contribute to our success while ensuring compliance with applicable laws. This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Greenville, SC. Greenville is an ideal location, situated between Charlotte, NC, and Atlanta, GA. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Collaborate with Law Department team members and company business representatives to draft, negotiate, and create commercial contracts, sales programs, and marketing materials.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support the development and deployment of business strategies and policies affecting suppliers, customers, and end users of Michelin products and services.
  • Provide reports and updates to attorneys, senior Law Department members, and company management on relevant legal topics.
  • Develop and maintain internal systems that enhance the delivery of efficient legal services to internal business partners.
  • Assist in delivering legal training on corporate, commercial, and compliance topics to employees at all levels.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • A Bachelor’s degree and/or recognized paralegal certification (e.g., ALP, CLP, PP) or equivalent work experience and training.
  • Previous experience in a paralegal role or legal research environment, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with attorneys, legal staff, and internal teams, fostering collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams, driving legal strategies and clearly communicating information and advice.
  • Strong prioritization skills to manage a complex workload while proactively identifying and addressing potential legal issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office® Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a willingness to learn new software systems as needed.
