WAREHOUSE TEAM LEAD - ROLE MISSION
Support the Distribution Center Manager and Supervisors in accomplishing distribution center productivity goals. Responsibilities include working alongside and leading teams in the areas of receiving/shipping, inventory, cost control, safety, quality, and team effectiveness.
WAREHOUSE TEAM LEAD - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage safe and efficient inbound/outbound transportation of product to assigned locations, verify inbound/outbound shipments are accurate/free of damage, report quality variances.
· Utilize ERP system (SAP WM/EWM) to record and track accurate inventory levels.
· Lead cycle count activities to maintain accurate inventory levels, investigate any discrepancies, assist in physical inventories.
· Ensure safe and efficient picking, staging, and preparation of product for shipment per specifications (exact number and type of product);
· Develop skillset of warehouse associates’ team via cross-training opportunities.
· Assist in Distribution Center (DC) cost containment initiatives to maximize efficiency.
· Demonstrate initiative and strong leadership philosophy.
· Champion lean, quality management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
· Maintain overall DC, equipment, and product in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
· Conduct daily preventative maintenance inspections on forklift equipment.
· Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed standard work procedures, comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Warehouse distribution: 1 year (Preferred)
- Reach Forklift: 1 year (Required)
Shift availability:
- Day Shift 7am - 3:30pm (Preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Regular bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching movements, lifting products of weights up to 75 pounds with assistance, standing for prolonged periods.
